Brief History: Since 1968 Cayman Airways Limited (CAL) has been serving the Cayman Islands as the country’s National Flag Carrier. With a fleet of three 737-300 jet aircrafts and one Boeing 737-800, the airline provides the most nonstop international jet flights to and from the Cayman Islands than any other airline, with regular nonstop service to: Kingston and Montego Bay, Jamaica; Havana, Cuba; La Ceiba and Roatan, Honduras; Miami and Tampa, Florida; and New York, New York. Seasonal nonstop flights are also operated to Chicago, Illinois and Denver, Colorado during the Summer and Winter months. Cayman Airways Express operates daily flights between Grand Cayman and the Sister Islands of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman with two Twin Otter aircraft and two Saab 340B+ aircraft. Cayman Airways is the only airline offering passengers FREE Seven Fathoms Rum Punch aboard all international jet flights. Fleet: Four (3) Boeing 737-300 and one (1) Boeing 737-800 jet aircraft, 2 Twin Otter aircraft, and two (2) Saab 340B+ aircraft. A brand new Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft will be delivered by the end of 2018, which will replace the Boeing 737-800 aircraft.    

Regulatory Overview: As a multinational carrier, Cayman Airways must meet the safety regulations of three separate aviation entities – the CAA, (United Kingdom), the FAA (United States) and the CAA (Cayman Islands). Cayman Airways crewmembers receive intensive training that enables them to provide leadership under any circumstance that may be encountered should an out-of-the ordinary situation occur.
